Mrs. Decker
Kindergarten Track 4
Teacher Mary Decker Class Website eMail: [email protected] I began teaching as a special education teacher and fell in love with Kindergarten early in my teaching career. I started working at Olive Chapel in 1999. I received my B.A. from Illinois State University, my M.Ed. from National Louis University and received National Board Certification in 2003. I’m married to Greg (principal at Sanderson High School) and we have two grown children, Josh and Molly. We've lived in Cary since 1998 but are originally from Chicago. I LOVE my job and I’m so thankful to be able to teach Kindergarten children. In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, volunteer at church, read, ride bikes, decorate and play with Tilly, our sweet poodle. |

Teacher Assistant Lisa Reynolds eMail: [email protected] I am originally from Cordova, Alabama, but have lived in North Carolina since 1989. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in elementary education. I graduated, got married, and moved away all in the same year! Before coming to Olive Chapel Elementary in 2014, I taught 3rd grade at Apex Elementary for almost 23 years. I have been blessed to work with so many amazing people over the course of my teaching career, and am especially enjoying being at OCE. I’ve had the opportunity to work with every grade level in some capacity here at OCE. My husband and I have 3 children, Scott, Alex, and Abby. Scott recently graduated from the University of Alabama, Alex is currently a sophomore at UNCW, and Abby is in high school at Panther Creek. They have kept us busy over the years with their band activities and this is how we spend most of our free weekends, traveling with them to various competitions in the area. Music is a huge part of our lives, and in fact my husband and I met as we were both band members in college at U of A. I played trombone and he played saxophone. We often joke that we could have our own band within our family since collectively we play trombone, saxophone, trumpet, mellophone, french horn, flute, guitar, and piano. We are also big college football fans and in particular enjoy watching the Alabama Crimson Tide (Roll Tide!!). |
