Teacher Michelle Burleson Class Website eMail: [email protected] I am originally from Burlington, Vermont. I graduated from Elon University where I double majored in Elementary Education K-6 and Special Education K-12. I began teaching in 2000, and have taught K, 1st, 2nd and 4th grades. I truly enjoy what I do and spending my day with children. I have two daughters. We love spending days splashing in the ocean waves, reading, swimming, traveling, gardening, shopping, walking, skiing, and riding bikes. |

Teacher Reanie Miller Class Website eMail: [email protected] This school year is my sixteenth ""voyage"" aboard the OCE Clipper Ship. I was born in New York, lived in New Jersey until eight, and spent the remainder of my childhood living on the island of Trinidad. I now consider myself a Tar Heel. I completed a BA in Elementary Education from Colorado State University in Pueblo. My greatest joy as a teacher is to have the opportunity to fill young minds with knowledge, to spark curiosity, and to instill a love of learning. Seeing bright and eager faces every morning is why I teach. Every day and every year is a new adventure with five and six year-olds that believe all things are possible. |

eMail: [email protected] I grew up in Raleigh. I have four children, two in college and two at Apex High school. I'm in my seventh year as a TA. I previously worked at Apex Elementary prior to coming to OCE this past July. I love year-round and OCE, the staff and students are great! I have a 72 pound dog named Coda, he is five years old and has lots of energy. In my free time I love to cook and to do anything that has to do with cooking. My favorite sports teams are NC State, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Carolina Hurricanes. |

eMail: [email protected] I was born in New Jersey and when I was ten my parents moved to Puerto Rico. I have been at OCE for 14 years and it started when I moved here from Puerto Rico. My daughter didn't speak the language so I volunteered every day so I could translate for her. My first job here was at the front office and from there I have been in Kindergarten through second grade. I translate for my Hispanic families when I'm needed and I enjoy it. I am married to a wonderful husband for 10 years and have three children ages 20, 18 and 4. I love home interior decorating, volleyball and going to the beach. I love going every year to visit my family in Puerto Rico and spending time with them. |
