Track 1 Third Grade
Teacher Cynthia Coward Class Website eMail: [email protected] I grew up in Chocowinity, NC near “Little” Washington and Greenville. I am the youngest of six and love my large family! I graduated from East Carolina University, (Go Pirates) where I received a BSBA with a consecration in Marketing and a Master of Arts in Teaching. I love being an educator and enjoy working with children, equipping them with knowledge and the necessary skills for their future. Knowledge is Power! I love seeing their developmental growth, both in character and academically throughout the year. I also enjoy seeing their little faces light up when they learn something new or when they finally understand a concept. I am proud to say that I have reached a significant milestone as an educator; completing 10 years of teaching!!!! I have had the privilege of teaching those amazing years here at OCE on the 3rd grade team, so OCE is truly home for me! OCE is a great place to work and I have enjoyed building relationships with our OCE families, and observing our students grow and blossom into 4th and 5th graders! During my free time I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, salsa dancing, traveling, reading, volunteering at my church, shopping and exercising! |

Teacher Stacie York Class Website eMail: [email protected] I am originally from a small town right outside of Wilmington, NC. After high school, I went to Campbell University where I got a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. While attending Campbell University, I met my fiancé Brad who is from the Fuquay area. Upon graduating Campbell University, I accepted my first teaching job in Pitt County. While in Pitt County, I taught English and Math remediation for grades 3-5. During my year as a remediation teacher, I learned different strategies that will ensure the success of my students as well as myself as teacher. I am very excited to be teaching 3rd grade here at OCE! I look forward to watching my students develop their independence, learn new things, and gain confidence in their academic career. Track 2 Third Grade
Teacher Kelsey Collins Class Website eMail: [email protected]I was born in Virginia Beach, VA, but grew up in Cary. I went to college at Appalachian State University where I took full advantage of the location by spending my time snowboarding, hiking, and tubing (when I wasn't in class). While at App, I played on the club Women's Lacrosse team. I now spend much of my free time coaching elementary and middle school girl's lacrosse in Holly Springs. I taught first grade for two years and am excited to now be teaching third grade. I have a golden retriever named Ziggy who loves to take me for walks and go swimming in the pond. I love going to the beach and watching football, especially if it is the ASU Mountaineers or the NY Giants! |
